03/25/26 10:12 This dog is experiencing significant stress and anxiety in the shelter, particularly while kenneled. These behaviors are often a response to the overwhelming sights, sounds, and confinement, along with the lack of choice or control over their environment. Although this dog continues to show appropriate behavior outside of the kennel with positive interactions with staff and volunteers,without intervention, well-being will continue to decline. Immediate placement is needed with an experienced adopter or New Hope Partner who can provide time and space to decompress in a calm, supportive home. Placement needed by close of business 3/30/26. Outside for AM cleaning with high energy at front of kennel, jumping on kennel door with wiggly soft body, soliciting attentions thru kennel door. Jumping on kennel door when attempting to leash, pawing at handlers arm, will demand bark when adjusting leash, dog would settle enough for handler to place leash with no issues. Exited with easy leash pull, soft neutral body and tail to main play yard, no reactivity to dogs in passing. In play yard dog had manageable high energy throughout time in yard, never directed towards handler, wiggly soft body when interacting with handler and leaning in for pets. Had a few moments of "zoomies", will return to handler if handler knelt down and melts into handler allowing petting all over. Knows "SIT", accepted treats gently. Chased after toys thrown but did not retrieve. Went potty. Came to handler when called over to leave, remained wiggly. Easy leash pull back to kennel, hesitant to enter alley towards kennel but able to be coaxed thru, no reactivity towards dogs in passing. Walked into kennel on own, allowed handler to remove leash by hand. 09/22/26 14:17 Updating color due to NHO status.

Easy leashing, walking into Triage. Jumpy, wiggly. Ate all treats tossed. Tolerated restraint for vaccines and allowed all petting. Walked to kennel fence fighting, and entered with no issue

Solicited attentions, Easy to pull from kennel, Easy to return to kennel, Takes treats nicely, Somewhat Pulls on Leash, Appeared interested when walking past kennels, Sit, Easy to pull & walk on leash with slight pull. In yard, explored & approached for pets. Accepted pets all over. Jumped up lightly for more pets. Sat for treats. Interested in dogs outside yard but easily redirected. When returning, slight hesitation at bldg then entered kennel.
