Elliot
County ID A5170726
Deadline: Tuesday, September 8.
This five-year-old brown and white staffy mix is moving carefully through the shelter, watching people closely before he decides they're safe. Once he knows you, he softens—comes over, leans in, takes the comfort he can get. He's on the medical priority list and has seven days.
Already applied? Call or text 602-834-4911 and tell us it is Elliot.
What the shelter has seen
- Took treats gently at first, then mouthier as he relaxed; knows 'sit' for treats
- Came when called in the yard, leaned against handler's lap for petting, explored with soft tail wag
- Walked slowly on leash with verbal coaxing, lowered his head when handler reached to remove it
What Elliot needs
Must be pulled by a partner rescue no later than September 8th. Needs a calm, patient home that will give him time to settle and access to whatever medical support he requires. Intake notes say go slow.
Everything here comes from Elliot’s Maricopa County Animal Care and Control record. We leave out the parts that belong between the shelter, the rescue and the vet, and we do not soften what a dog needs. If something changes at the shelter, this page changes with it.
