Ava is a five-year-old pit bull who ended up at East as a stray with an ear injury and almost no known history. What handlers see is a mellow, gentle dog who leans into affection and has been nothing but kind since arrival. She is facing a medical deadline with four days left.

What Aurora needs
Ava is New Hope Only and must be pulled by a partner rescue no later than end of business September 15. She is marked priority for medical and will need a foster prepared to support her through treatment and recovery.
