Behavior evaluations
Written by handlers, dated, in their words.
10/14/2026
Closed outside for AM cleaning. Dog approached handler with soft body and wagging tail, front paws on door soliciting attention, took treats. Easy to leash, hard pull to yard, ignored kenneled dogs in passing. Once in yard dog immediately began jumping up on handler, biting at handler's arms and grabbing PPE. Handler tried distracting with treats but dog was not interested. Used leash pressure to redirect dog off, dog then lied down and rolled onto back, allowed belly rubs, once handler stopped petting dog continued to jump up and grab PPE, tearing gown and shoe covers. Handler used leash pressure to redirect dog off again, settled as handler walked dog out of yard, moderate pull back to kennel, able to guide in with mild leash pressure, able to remove leash by hand.
10/13/2026
More purple behavior that a level green might not be prepared for.
10/13/2026
No issues leashing in front half of kennel. Walked with a strong pull out of kennel, turning to stop & jump up, able to direct dog to keep walking. Once in PY, dog would start to jump up while biting @ leash as handler would adjust leash stopper, scattered treats on ground, dog would eat treats. Dog would start to sniff nose to ground while exploring. Would start to do zoomies with a relaxed body. Approached handler, jumping up onto handler while nipping @ handlers PPE gown & arms, handler stood up quickly while scattering treats onto ground. Dog would eat all treats then start to bite @ leash as handler would attempt to pick up leash. Scattered more treats, able to pick up leash as dog would be eating treats. Dog would quickly turn, jumping up & starting to bite @ handlers arms, applying pressure but not breaking skin. Scattered more treats & dropped leash due to dog tangling leash with legs. Picked up leash again & walked dog quickly out of PY while dog would keep jumping up & nipping @ handlers PPE. Dog would attempt to fence fight with nearby kennels. Would start to pull back while biting @ leash once kennel gate was opened. Handler scattered treats back into kennel, dog would enter. Allowed leash removal to be done by hand while eating treats on ground.
