Behavior evaluations

Written by handlers, dated, in their words.

10/17/2026

Dog did not eat previous days kibble, canned food. Did eat shredded chicken that was offered yesterday. Will see if they have anymore to offer today.

10/16/2026

Canine did not eat food offered on 10/15 Will get with clinic to see if they have any Chicken we can offer and try canned food only.

10/16/2026

Standing at front of kennel with wagging tail and soft body. Handler was able to step into kennel and place slip lead with no issues. Allowed all pets and handling. Needed very minimal restraint when placing fluid needle. K9 did not react or notice when needle was placed. Handler crouched down and k9 nuzzled face into handlers lap/chest. Leaned into handlers lap for the remainder of fluid treatment. Handler showed k9 the ball that was in the kennel and k9 got very excited/playful, kicking ball around and bringing ball to handler. Handler tossed ball to other side of kennel a couple times and k9 would retrieve it.

10/16/2026

Addendum to 10/14/26: Upon kennel approach, k9 got up and walked up to handler with soft body. Handler stepped inside kennel and k9 immediately sat down and allowed handler to pet all over body. Handler was able to poke k9 for fluids with no restraint. While administering fluids, k9 shifted body into handlers legs and began soliciting attention. Handler was able to leave kennel with no issues and gave a couple more pets.

10/14/2026

Dog did not eat previous day. Wet food was not added. Will be adding canned food to PM feeding and continue to monitor food consumption.

10/13/2026

Dog did not eat any kibble offered overnight. Dog stood up wth a low tail wag when handler approached for AM wellness check. Dried blood observed in kennel.

Moving P to s-isolation. K9 was at front of kennel with wagging tail nub. Easy leash placement, walked with mild pull on leash at times. K9 allowed all handling for diagnostics and treatment (blood draw, fluid administration) With no issues. K9 maintained a soft wiggly demeanor throughout interaction with all handlers. leaned into petting all over. Easy move to new kennel, leash removed by hand.

10/6/2026

At front of kennel with soft body, wagging nub, accepted treats gently. Easy leash placement, walked with easy leash pull to "I" yard, no reactivity to dogs in passing. In yard dog would begin soliciting attentions with handler allowing petting all over, leans in for pets, gently accepted treats. Went potty and explored with soft neutral body, fast wagging nub whenever called over by handler. Followed handler around yard, accepting pets whenever stopped, sat in front of handler as handler sat on chair accepting pets. Towards end of evaluation dog started to become overaroused (body tensing up but wiggly, wide eyed, burst of high energy) after being petted, jumped up quickly onto handler and began humping, able to quickly recover leash, had to use leash pressure to direct dog off, dog took to direction well and handler was able to walk dog back to kennel with no issues. Walked into kennel on own and allowed handler to remove leash by hand.

10/3/2026

Requesting full evaluation based on finder's notes.

10/1/2026
