Handler opened kennel door and presented leash, dog slowly crawled forward, handler attempted to place leash, dog retreated back to corner. While placing leash again dog cowered and bared teeth, grabbed leash briefly, once leashed exited kennel with verbal coaxing, tail tightly tucked, ears pinned, scanning surroundings, hard pull when startled by reactive dogs, no attempts to interact. Explored yard, low posture, slow movements, ignored treats tossed around yard, sat in corner for a moment, scanning surroundings, slowly approached handler with verbal coaxing, ears pinned, whale eyed, flinched when touched but settled, leaned into handler's legs and allowed petting all over, tail remained tucked, moved away from handler and stood in corner, began panting and trembling. Able to approach and pick up leash, licked hand while adjusting leash stopper, no issues walking back to kennel, easy return, able to coax dog forward, thrashed head as handler removed leash by hand.
